President Rodrigo Duterte filed Monday night that the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) chief Isidro Lapeña will be the next commissioner of the Bureau of Customs (BoC). Duterte said that since appointing Lapeña as BoC chief, Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon will automatically be replaced. The President also said Lapeña would be the Philippine National Police (PNP) official Aaron Aquino as PDEA chief.
Meanwhile, Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon welcomed President Rodrigo Duterte's decision to accept his resignation several times and choose to be replaced by him.In his release on his official Facebook page, Faeldon said he believes that the president's decision will make the country better, as his stay in the bureau becomes "politically polarizing".
However, Faeldon has promised tocontinue serving the country for the betterment of the Filipino people.
